Intervistato dice di aver predisposto le forze di polizia necessarie alla difesa della città.  Migliaia di tifosi olandesi ubriachi non l'hanno devastata. Non gli risulta che abbiano danneggiato la fontana di piazza di Spagna. La polizia era lì, l’acqua esce. Parla di fontana, non di opera d’arte di Bernini padre più rara di un Rembrandt o di un Van Gogh delle quali ce ne sono centinaia. Time to move on!

The news sounds dismal to me. The tone of the article felt upbeat to the end. Cheerful like when I would try to quit smoking cigarettes. For thirty years I toyed with reducing - but in reality I never stopped devasting my body until I actually quit. The problem here is that we all share the body and everyone must quit. Until then a slight reduction here or there, or this week but not next week, will continue to bring life and mankind to a premature end on this planet. I quit smoking when my lungs could take no more, but others don't, many won't. We can see that. In the case of climate warming they devastate not their body but my planet. It's a sad sight if the strongest and wealthiest do not stand up to stop them either. Must they wait to be in pain to take a decision?

Self re-enforcing global warming could  set in if the average world temperature goes over 2 degrees, that means global warming spiralling out of control. So far we have gone up 0,6 degrees. We can still put some carbon up into the atmosphere and remain under 2 degrees, but not a whole lot. Guess what? We can burn up only one quarter of known reserves of fossil fuel reserves and remain in the safety zone. What does that mean? That means that 3/4 of the reserves on the balance sheets valued as assets are in fact worthless. Nobody will burn them. Nobody can buy them. This is called the "carbon bubble". Watch out - keep it hushed up and pretend you can burn all you want. Deny global warming! But get your investments out of carbon !!!

How many people would think it's normal for a movie director asking for a pretty young blonde to shift through a line-up of seven suggestions including  one is a shaggy dog, a lady that used to be slender  4 years prior  but has since doubled in size, another which is pretty in the opinion of her old aunt... This is how pertinent the top choices of our search engines can be on any theme we may ask. I often get pages and pages of addresses with commentary before getting the actual source of the subject I am asking for. A casting director would be furious with that kind of a selection, as would a person looking for a television in shop and findin them scattered behind refridgerators and washing machines. But nobody is complaining much about Google, who spends billions of surplus money not on getting it's ideas right but on supplying other activities. Have they ever hired a librarian or a shop keeper?
